Directions to Camp Shawnee
From the East on 1-70
Take I-70 West to I-635 North to Highway 9 (Parkville) North. As you drive west into Parkville, you will pass Park College on your right. The main road appears to curve to the right. Do not go to the right. Proceed straight to the stop sign. Turn left at the stop sign, then take an immediate right onto Highway FF. Proceed on highway FF for approximately 5 miles. There is one intersection that Y’s, make sure to go left. (There is a sign for Camp Shawnee at the intersection.) You will proceed under the I-435 underpass. The entrance to the camp will be on the right approximately one mile after the underpass. There is a small sign on the left and a big white rock on the right. Drive to the top of the hill to the dining hall.
From the West on I-70
Take I-70 East to I-635 North to Highway 9 (Parkville) North. Follow directions from above.
From the West on I-435 (Southwest side of the city)
Take I-435 to Highway 45 (Parkville/Weston Exit). Turn left onto Highway 45. Stay on Highway 45 to Waldron Road. Turn left on Waldron Road. Waldron Road is a gravel road.Turn left on FF (NW River Road). The entrance to camp is approximately 4 miles on the left.
From the South on I-29
Take I-29 North to the 64th Street exit (Highway 45). Turn left onto 64th Street to Union Chapel Road. Turn left onto Union Chapel Road and continue on to the stop sign. Take a hard right at the stop sign onto NW River Road. The entrance to camp is 3 miles from the stop sign, and it is on the right.
From the South on I-35
Take I-35 North to I-635 North to Highway 9 (Parkville) North. Take Highway 9 into Parkville. As you drive west into Parkville, you will pass Park College on your right. I-435 North to 210 West to Burlington. Turn right on Burlington to Highway 9 North. Take 9 North into Parkville. As you drive west into Parkville, you will pass Park College on your right. The main road appears to curve to the right. Do not go to the right. Proceed straight to the stop sign. Turn left at the stop sign, then take an immediate right onto Highway FF. Proceed on highway FF for approximately 5 miles. There is one intersection that Y’s, make sure to go left (This is NW River Road). You will proceed under the I-435 underpass. From the North on 169 Highway
Take 169 Highway South to Highway 9. Proceed north on 9 and proceed straight into Parkville. As you drive west into Parkville, you will pass Park College on your right. From the North on I-29
Take I-29 South to 45 Highway. Go west on 45 Highway to Union Chapel Road. (The intersection has a flashing yellow light.) Turn left on Union Chapel and go to the stop sign. Turn right at the stop sign. (This is NW River Road.) The camp is on the right side of road. The entrance to the camp is 3 miles from the stop sign.
